Sunset St. Thomas wedding locations. Dec 27

The U.S. Virgin Islands unarguably has the best beaches for tropical vacations.  In addition to having fun in the sun the beaches are beautiful locations for wedding ceremonies.

Each beach has its own attraction and beauty surrounding it.  However some beaches are better than others for wedding ceremonies for reasons that are often over looked by wedding couples.

Today I would like to talk about Brewers beach located on the southwest side of St.Thomas.  Unlike Megans or Sapphire beach, Brewers is probably the least known beach on St.Thomas.

Locals have been keeping this beach a quite little secret.  I first grew fond of Brewers because of its accessibility to my home.  Within minutes I could be to the beach, do my swim and back to my apartment without traffic and crowds.

Very few tourists have frequented this beach; it has no amenities aside from a road side truck serving food and drinks.  It didn’t take me long to decide that the lack of amenities provided for its charm.

Snorkeling provided conk shells and sea turtles, sting rays and schools of juvenile snapper.

Located just west of the University of the Virgin Islands the land surrounding Brewers is free of any industrial or commercial buildings.  The hills are green and full of vegetation.   The sand is not the best to be honest but it’s not rocky neither.  Just not the powder fine sand found at the other beaches on beaches.

Now before we go any further let me tell you that the airport is within sight of the beach.   I have had couple get married there and never even notice it until we point it out. We  have never had any noise interfere durning ceremonies or in fact noise is less of an issue at Brewers than Megans.  The real beauty of Brewers is for the wedding couples who want to be married without crowds or traffic.  the real claim to fame for Brewers Beach on St.Thomas are the sunsets.

By 4:00 the beach is pretty secluded except for the occasional green flash watcher.

Brewer’s beach has by far the best sunsets  from Sept until March hands down. Brewers has no islands on the horizon to hide the sun as it drops in to the water, If you are dreaming of having a full sunset ceremony think about Brewers.
