Do it before getting married and after. Jul 26

Recently my husband and I visited a popular restaurant not far from our studio on St.Thomas of the Virgin Islands.  Oceana in French Town.

Before getting married I use to visit it with friends and family frequently.  The menu is a bit more than what you would want to spend on a daily basis, so visits became less frequent as the economy became less productive.

However since it was my birthday week. (Yes I said week) We thought it would be nice to stop in and have a drink.  This brings me to the topic of this blog.

Our visit was less than $40.00 for 4 drinks and a cheese plate. Yet we had a wonderful time, sitting on the veranda at sea level, watching boats come and go.  Got me thinking, going out does not have to be a full 5 course affair, or even a full meal.

The important thing was that we took our time and enjoyed the moment.  We laughed, talked and made plans for our future.

It wasn’t that we don’t go out, we do.  But this was spontaneous and sitting together at the movie house or with a crowd of friends is different.   This was “us” time it was romantic and just nice.

It was so nice that we decided to do it more often, maybe different restaurant maybe not.  We will just let the mood direct us.

We forgot for a while with all of the work and just living what it was like to enjoy each other and the moment.  Not anymore.
