St Thomas wedding wedding Photographer Aug 08

In past blogs I have substantiated the reasons for having a professional wedding photographer for  your wedding day.  Whether you are having a destination wedding as in a St Thomas wedding or a state side wedding.

Besides the obvious reasons of better pictures, better editing and less disappointment with the end product. Having a professional will help tell the story of your day and ceremony.

Now remember a camera doesn’t make a photographer as a paint brush does not make an artist.   It takes talent and training, years of training.  Not just reading a few books and the owners manual of that shinny new camera. It takes hours of classroom and years of experience, to create a really good wedding picture and to become a true professional wedding photographer.  We are not talking here about someone with a rapid fire shooting camera like Uncle Joe who takes great shots. Often it is the difference of Uncle Joe’s pictures and the professional that unless you have them side by side would you see the difference.  Its like comparing the real coke to a diet one and after you took a swallow its to late.

The difference is there big time and would you really want to take the chance on the most special day of your life?  Beside could Uncle Joe say his picture landed on the cover of Cruising World Magazine?   Nope, he can’t but we can.   My primary photographer is Gary Felton and also my husband.  So I am going to toot our horn here and in following blogs maybe I will post the difference in Uncle Joe’s and his but now its all about the cover and this is not the first time or the last.
